ThunderShield VPN (“ThunderShield”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides a VPN application and related VPN servers (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile app and Service.

1) What we collect
A) Subscription and payment information (Google Play Billing)
Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details.
To provide paid access and enforce subscription status, we may process:
subscription status (active/expired)
product identifiers (monthly/yearly)
purchase token / transaction identifiers
timestamps related to subscription validity (e.g., expiry time)
Purpose: enable access, verify subscriptions, prevent fraud/abuse, provide customer support.
B) VPN connection information (required to operate a VPN)
To provide the VPN tunnel, our servers must process basic connection data, such as:
your device IP address at the time of connection
the VPN server IP address you connect to
connection time and technical events needed to keep the tunnel working (e.g., handshake/connection errors)
Purpose: route traffic through the VPN, maintain a stable connection, troubleshoot reliability issues, and prevent abuse.
C) What we do NOT collect (No-activity logging)
We do not intentionally collect or store:
websites you visit
browsing history
DNS query contents
the content of your internet traffic (payload)
messages, emails, or files you transmit through the VPN
D) Diagnostics (limited)
We may collect limited diagnostics necessary to keep the App stable, such as:
app version
device model and Android version
crash reports and basic error logs
Purpose: fix bugs and improve app reliability.
E) Camera permission (QR code scanning)
The App may request Camera permission only to scan QR codes (for example, importing a VPN configuration).
We do not record video or take photos for storage.
Camera images are not uploaded to our servers as part of QR scanning.
You can deny camera permission and still use the App by importing configuration another way (if available).
2) How we use information
We use the information described above to:
provide the VPN connection and keep it running reliably
verify and enforce subscription access
improve stability and performance
respond to support requests
detect and prevent abuse and fraud
3) Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information only in these cases:
Google Play / Google: to process purchases and verify subscription status via Google Play Billing.
Service providers (only if used): providers that help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting). They are required to protect information and use it only to provide services to us.
Legal obligations: if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.
4) Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above:
subscription verification data: for as long as necessary to manage access and handle support issues
minimal operational connection logs (if collected): retained for a limited period necessary for reliability and abuse prevention, then deleted or anonymized
crash/diagnostic data (if collected): retained only as needed to debug and improve stability
5) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Service and information we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect against unauthorized access.
6) Your choices
You can:
manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play (cancellation stops renewal; access continues until the end of the paid period)
uninstall the App at any time

7) Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top when changes are made.
